San Francisco Landing Pad hosts 'Mentor Roulette'

"I believe the title Mentor Roulette is somewhat misleading. Roulette suggests you can lose. However, at the Mentor Roulette I won at every table."
– Bonny Morlak, Tiltsta

On 16 January, Austrade's San Francisco Landing Pad partnered with the Aussie Founders Network, Startmate, muru-D, River City Labs and Salesforce to host a "Mentor Roulette'.

This event, which is the first of its kind under the Landing Pads initiative, provided participants with access to industry leaders, other startup founders, investors and entrepreneurs.
Timed to coincide with a visit by members of three Australian based accelerators, Startmate, muru-D and River City Labs, the response to 'Mentor Roulette' exceeded expectations with over 150 participants.

Attendees had the opportunity to connect and meet with founders and mentors and gain valuable insights from leading startup success stories.
"The diversity of founders and their willingness to help connect us to more founders and customers was great.  Well worth it for any startup in their early stage." Brandon Boor, Co-Founder, Inco Docs

Outcomes for participants included, practicing their 'elevator pitch', exploring strategic partnership opportunities and revising their business models to 'go global'.
